A design-driven Canadian manufacturer, Herschel was founded in 2009 by the Cormack brothers; Jamie and Lyndon Cormack. They named the company after the town where three generations of their family grew up. The Vancouver-based company takes pride in manufacturing the finest quality of timeless Hipster retro backpacks, bags, travel goods and accessories. Since it’s inception, the brand proliferated and is now an International brand offering its products in 100+ countries.
The challenge was to work upon the already visual structure of the brand and design a well throughout the catalogue that represents Herschel’s cool, hip style and detail. A catalogue that would act as an extension to the many visual brand touchpoints that Herschel has to offer to its consumers.
Our designers assembled a 100-page perfect bonded catalogue for the client, with specialty finishes of Foil and spot varnish. We took professional images of remote areas of beautiful BC to best depict the cultures brand’s lifestyle and tone.
Graphic icons were created, by using vibrant colours and patterns to mirror the style of Herschel’s products. These were designed to help demonstrate the character, consistency, clarity which mirrored the actual product.
The catalogue and icon redesigning increased consumer engagement and generated 75% more leads than before.
