Formed in the basement of the Whistler Blackcomb Ski Club back in 1997, Landyatchz was created by high-school friends Mike Perreten and Tom Edstrand. Having the global market in a headlock, they are now looking to make waves in the online markets.
Originally the website was built on an outdated Magento platform which was quickly deteriorating. The challenge was not only time to create a site before the previous one crashed altogether, but also hitting the deadline to complete this before the sale season launch. The goal was to create a memorable easy ride, just like their skateboards. We put together a well thought out online strategy that encompasses generating sales by having their products easily found and suggested. In order to do so, considering a large amount of stock, it was necessary to integrate the products into their inventory management system. Furthermore, we had to make sure the website was lightweight, images and videos had to be optimized to handle large volumes of traffic. A dedicated server needed to be scalable in order to meet these demands.
To ensure the web gets a contemporary layout that allows the images to speak for themselves. We curated a custom layout template block to empower the design team and provide them with the opportunity to showcase their seasonal collection and other products congruently – featuring dynamic content strategies.
With scalability and a fresh look as one of the objectives, we curated custom layout template blocks so it would empower the design team the opportunity to give the website a current and fresh look that site will congruently season collections and dynamic content strategies.
Prototyping allowed our team to present the user’s journey, the end goals and share the feedback in the early stage of the development. Using the help of functional mockups, we were able to identify the loopholes in the design and flag any shortcomings in its flow and usability, even before moving into the design phase.
Our experts collaborated to put together an online model that fitted well with their in-house creative infrastructure such as; the marketing and art departments.
After consultation and feedback, we were able to understand their buyers' behaviours and were to produce clear user flows.
We developed a multi-store WordPress site that would distinguish between the USA, Canada and International customers.
Our team ensured monitoring of the site such as WordPress updates, monitored malware, viruses and other bugs to provide a consistent solution to rectify them. We also looked after CMS system upgrades, security enhancement, and website backups along with tracking site statistics, speed, and broken links.
The sales have gone up 200%, 80,000 monthly visitors, inventory management has become transparent and efficient. .
